Overview

Youtrust is the French platform formerly called Yousign, rebranded in July 2026. Founded in Caen in 2013, it has grown from an eSignature tool into a wider digital-trust platform: signing at all three eIDAS levels, identity and company verification (KYC/KYB), document-fraud and watchlist screening, and electronic seals.

The credential that sets it apart is its status as an EU-regulated Trust Service Provider listed on the European Union Trusted List. Youtrust issues eIDAS Qualified Electronic Signatures itself, as the regulated QTSP. Sign.Plus works through Swisscom Trust Services and Adobe Acrobat Sign through accredited TSPs, so the legal outcome matches, but Youtrust is the only platform we cover that is the trust service.

QES is sold as a per-signature add-on on every paid tier: €10 per signature in annual bundles, €15 bought monthly. You never move to an enterprise plan to unlock it, which is the cleanest QES procurement in this category if your qualified volume is occasional.

Data sits in France and the EU by default, and the REST API has won it a real share of European SaaS embedding. The interface ships in French, German, Spanish, Italian, English, Dutch and Polish, with recipient-side legal disclosures and identity checks localized per jurisdiction rather than merely translated.

Who it fits

French and EU-headquartered businesses signing within Europe, international companies with EU subsidiaries that need QES native to the platform, and developer teams embedding eIDAS-compliant signing into a European SaaS product.

Where it stops making sense

The US market. There is no FedRAMP Moderate, no HIPAA Business Associate Agreement, and a thinner integration catalog than DocuSign or Adobe Sign for US enterprise tooling, with no native Workday or SAP SuccessFactors. Pricing in EUR adds procurement friction and the brand is little known outside Europe.

Sales-led proposal workflows belong to PandaDoc, and low-volume budget signing to SignNow, whose flat rate is far cheaper.

Key Features

  • Full European digital-trust platform (rebranded from Yousign, 2026): signing, verification and electronic seals in one place
  • Identity, company and bank-account verification (KYC/KYB): onboard and check counterparties without a separate vendor
  • Document-fraud detection and watchlist (AML/sanctions) screening
  • Electronic seals (eSeal) for authenticity and integrity at scale, plus an AI connector and sectoral workflows
  • eIDAS Qualified Trust Service Provider (QTSP) status: issues Qualified Electronic Signatures (QES) natively, listed on the EU Trusted List (EUTL)
  • Full eIDAS coverage: Simple Electronic Signatures (SES), Advanced Electronic Signatures (AES), and Qualified Electronic Signatures (QES) on a single platform
  • EU-by-default data residency: servers in France and the EU, GDPR-native compliance posture rather than retrofitted
  • Native multi-language UIs in French, German, Spanish, Italian, English, Dutch, and Polish: including localized legal disclosures and identity verification flows
  • Built-in identity verification via government ID + biometric face-match on AES and QES tiers
  • REST API with OAuth 2.0, webhooks, and SDKs in Node.js, PHP, Python, Ruby, Java: strong developer experience
  • Embedded signing iframes for in-product signature flows: popular among European SaaS vendors
  • Templates, reusable signature blocks, bulk send, and team workspaces on Pro and Business tiers
  • Native integrations: HubSpot, Salesforce, Pipedrive, Microsoft 365 (Outlook, OneDrive, SharePoint), Google Workspace, Zapier, Make
  • Pre-built integrations with French/European business tools: Sellsy, Axonaut, Pennylane and Tiime, meaningful for French SMBs
  • White-label and custom branding on Business tier: signed emails, signing pages, certificate of completion all branded
  • Granular workspace and team management with role-based access controls
  • Audit trail and tamper-evident certificate of completion compliant with eIDAS, ESIGN, and UETA
  • Mobile-optimized signing experience: no native mobile app, but the browser-based flow is responsive
  • Signatory authentication options: SMS OTP, email OTP, ID document verification, video identification (for QES)

Pricing

Youtrust publishes four tiers plus a custom enterprise plan, billed in EUR with annual savings. Verify current pricing on the official Youtrust pricing page before contracting.

Free

€0 for 2 signature requests a month and 1 user, with unlimited self-signing, an inbox and automatic reminders. The monthly cap rules out any team workflow, but it works for a freelancer sending one or two contracts a month.

Do not confuse it with the separate 14-day free trial of the paid plans, usually Pro. The Free plan is a subscription you can stay on indefinitely; the trial converts to paid after 14 days unless cancelled. Check the credit-card terms before signing up.

One

€9/month (€108/year) for 1 user and 10 signature requests a month, adding basic templates, custom signing pages and reminder emails. Built for solo consultants with predictable volume, and it runs out the moment a second person needs access.

Plus (most popular)

€23/user/month (€276/user/year) brings unlimited eSignatures, SMS signer authentication, approval workflows, reusable templates, custom branding and the native integrations: HubSpot, Salesforce, Microsoft 365, Google Workspace and Zapier. This is the tier most growing teams land on.

Pro

€38/user/month (€456/user/year) adds automated forms, bulk sending, document collection workflows and team workspace management. Worth it once your documents involve collecting information, not just signatures.

QES add-on, on any paid tier

The pricing detail most comparisons get wrong: QES is a per-signature add-on rather than a plan. It costs €10 per signature in annual bundles of 10 or more, or €15 bought individually, and works on One, Plus and Pro alike. High-volume teams should negotiate bundles through sales.

Enterprise (10+ users)

Custom quotes cover advanced workspaces, API embedding at scale, multi-entity structures, SSO/SAML, dedicated infrastructure, procurement-grade SLAs and bulk QES bundles.

How the price compares. Plus at €23 is roughly $25 at recent rates, level with DocuSign Standard and above Sign.Plus Professional ($19.99) and Dropbox Sign Essentials ($20). Pro at €38 sits in DocuSign Business Pro territory. Youtrust is not the cost play here. You are paying for the QTSP status and the depth of identity verification, and neither is available natively from the cheaper options.

Security & Compliance

Youtrust is supervised by ANSSI, the French eIDAS supervisory body, and its qualified trust services are listed on the European Union Trusted List. QTSP status requires continuous third-party audit, so it is a credential that has to be maintained rather than earned once.

The compliance set, verified against Youtrust's public trust documentation: eIDAS QTSP status covering QES, electronic seals and time-stamping, plus ISO 27001, ISO 27018, SOC 2 Type II, GDPR with EU data residency by default, HDS for French health data hosting, and ESIGN and UETA adherence for US-jurisdiction signing.

Why being the QTSP matters

For QES, the highest legal weight under EU law and equivalent to a handwritten signature across all 27 member states, the trust chain is shorter when the platform vendor is itself the regulated party. Adobe, Sign.Plus and DocuSign deliver the same legal outcome through partner QTSPs. The difference shows up in procurement and audit, where some regulated buyers want single-vendor accountability, and rarely matters for ordinary commercial signing.

HDS, and what it does not replace

HDS is the French framework for hosting personal health data, covering healthcare providers, telehealth and health-adjacent services under French and EU rules. For EU healthcare workflows it is the relevant credential and Youtrust holds it. For US healthcare it is not a substitute for a HIPAA BAA, which Youtrust does not offer.

Where the compliance ceiling stops

No FedRAMP authorization rules out US federal procurement. No HIPAA BAA rules out US healthcare entities. No 21 CFR Part 11 validation package rules out FDA-regulated life sciences. Those three define the US regulated enterprise market, and missing all three is the structural reason Youtrust is not a DocuSign substitute there.

In Europe the picture reverses. QTSP status, HDS and EU residency make it more credible than either US vendor for buyers who specifically need an EU-regulated trust service rather than a US provider with EU coverage.

Integrations

The catalog is far smaller than DocuSign's 1,000+, and deliberately so. Native integrations cover HubSpot, Salesforce, Pipedrive, Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Zapier and Make.

The French stack is the real differentiator: Sellsy, Axonaut, Pennylane and Tiime are the accounting and CRM tools French SMBs actually run, and no US-headquartered competitor connects to them. The REST API is well documented, with OAuth 2.0, webhooks and SDKs in five languages, and embedded signing iframes are a first-class feature.

Mobile and signer experience

There is no native mobile app. Signing runs in the mobile browser, which is responsive and competent but lacks the polish of Sign.Plus or DocuSign on iOS and Android. The signer side is clean and closer to the tidier European tools than to the older US enterprise interfaces. Localized disclosures and identity prompts in the recipient's own language genuinely help cross-border signing inside Europe.

Very Good

Last updated: 2026-07-16

Youtrust is the strongest single recommendation for one specific buyer: a French or EU-headquartered business where eIDAS Qualified Electronic Signatures from a regulated QTSP are a procurement requirement rather than a nice-to-have.

For that buyer, native QES issued by a supervised qualified trust service, EU data residency by default, native interfaces in seven European languages and the French business-tool integrations produce a fit no US-headquartered competitor matches structurally.

The QES procurement model is unusually clean too. Youtrust sells it as a per-signature add-on at €10–15 across all paid tiers, so nobody has to migrate to a separate plan to unlock it.

Against Sign.Plus, the closest peer on EU compliance positioning, Youtrust wins on single-vendor QTSP accountability and on French-specific integrations (Sellsy, Pennylane, Tiime, Axonaut). Sign.Plus wins on overall price, on mobile polish, and on qualified-signature economics: $5 per signature as a prepaid credit against Youtrust's €10–15, which tells at volume.

DocuSign and Adobe Acrobat Sign reach the same compliance ceiling from the other direction, winning on US credentials (FedRAMP, HIPAA, 21 CFR Part 11), integration breadth and global brand recognition, while Youtrust holds the EU-regulated trust service position.

The honest limitation: for US-only buyers, or cost-sensitive SMBs anywhere, this is the wrong direction.

For European regulated signing where the QTSP credential is the actual requirement and qualified volume is occasional rather than continuous, Youtrust is the platform we recommend most often.

FAQ

Youtrust Review Β· FAQ

Is Youtrust the same as Yousign?
Yes. Youtrust is the new name for Yousign, rebranded in July 2026. The company (French-headquartered, founded 2013, an EU-regulated trust service provider supervised by ANSSI) and its e-signature product are the same; existing yousign.com URLs redirect to youtrust.com, and pricing is unchanged. The rename reflects an expanded scope: beyond e-signature, Youtrust now offers identity, company and document verification (KYC/KYB), fraud detection and electronic seals, so "Sign" no longer captured the full platform, so "Trust" replaced it.
What is Youtrust?
Youtrust is a French-headquartered electronic signature platform founded in 2013, best known for being one of the few EU-qualified Trust Service Providers (QTSPs) on the global eSignature market. Unlike most platforms that route eIDAS Qualified Electronic Signatures through partner trust services, Youtrust is itself a regulated QTSP supervised by the French ANSSI and listed on the European Union Trusted List. The platform supports the full eIDAS hierarchy (SES, AES, QES) and serves French and broader European SMB, mid-market, and SaaS-embed customers.
How much does Youtrust cost in 2026?
Youtrust publishes four transparent tiers billed in EUR with annual savings: Free at €0 (a subscription: 2 signature requests/month, 1 user, self-signature unlimited, inbox, automatic reminders); One at €9/month or €108/year (1 user, 10 requests/month) for solo professionals; Plus at €23/user/month or €276/user/year (the most popular tier: unlimited eSignatures, SMS authentication, templates, approvals, integrations); Pro at €38/user/month or €456/user/year (adds automated forms, bulk sending, document collection, workspaces). Qualified Electronic Signatures (QES) are sold as a per-signature add-on across all paid tiers at €10/QES (annual bundles of 10+) or €15/QES (monthly individual). Youtrust also offers a 14-day free trial of its paid plans, separate from the Free subscription tier. Organizations with more than 10 users contact Youtrust sales for a custom offer. Verify current pricing on the official Youtrust pricing page before contracting.
Is Youtrust a Qualified Trust Service Provider (QTSP)?
Yes. Youtrust is listed on the European Union Trusted List (EUTL) as a qualified trust service provider supervised by the French ANSSI. This means Youtrust can issue eIDAS Qualified Electronic Signatures (QES), qualified electronic seals, and qualified time-stamping directly as a regulated party. Among the eSignature platforms we review, only Youtrust holds direct QTSP status. Sign.Plus partners with Swisscom Trust Services for QES, Adobe Acrobat Sign routes through accredited TSPs, and DocuSign delivers QES via European Trust Services. The single-vendor QTSP accountability is the structural reason buyers requiring QES procure from Youtrust rather than from US-headquartered platforms with EU coverage.
Is Youtrust legally binding?
Yes. Youtrust produces signatures that are legally binding under the EU eIDAS Regulation (2014/910), the US ESIGN Act, UETA, the UK eIDAS regime, and equivalent frameworks in Canada, Australia, Japan, and other major jurisdictions. The platform supports the full eIDAS hierarchy: Simple Electronic Signatures (SES) on the Free, One, and Plus plans; Advanced Electronic Signatures (AES) with stronger identity verification (typically SMS authentication) on Plus and Pro; and Qualified Electronic Signatures (QES) as a per-signature add-on (€10–15 per QES) on any paid plan, carrying the highest legal weight available under EU law (equivalent to a handwritten signature across all 27 EU member states without further evidentiary burden).
How does Youtrust compare to Sign.Plus?
Both Youtrust and Sign.Plus position themselves around European eIDAS compliance, and both deliver QES, but the structural difference matters. Youtrust is itself a regulated QTSP; Sign.Plus partners with Swisscom Trust Services to deliver QES. The legal outcome is equivalent in both cases. Youtrust wins on French-specific business-tool integrations (Sellsy, Pennylane, Axonaut, Tiime) and on single-vendor QTSP accountability for procurement teams that prefer it. Sign.Plus wins on seat pricing (Professional at $19.99/user/month against Youtrust Plus at €23/user/month) and on the qualified-signature rate ($5 per signature as a prepaid credit, against €10 from Youtrust in annual bundles of ten or more and €15 individually), on mobile app quality (Sign.Plus has native iOS/Android apps, Youtrust is browser-only), on Swiss ZertES compliance (Youtrust covers eIDAS but not Swiss ZertES natively), and on industry-vertical depth (Sign.Plus ships dedicated workflow pages for healthcare, real estate, legal, financial services, accounting/tax, and insurance). For occasional French QES requirements where single-vendor QTSP accountability matters, Youtrust is often preferred. For continuous QES volume, broader EU SMB use including Swiss buyers, and cost-sensitive teams, Sign.Plus typically wins.
Does Youtrust work for US-based businesses?
Youtrust is legal and functional for US-based businesses, and it produces signatures that satisfy ESIGN and UETA, but it is rarely the right choice for US-only workflows. The platform does not hold FedRAMP authorization (disqualifying for US federal agency procurement), does not offer HIPAA BAA (disqualifying for US healthcare), does not hold 21 CFR Part 11 Validation Package (disqualifying for US life sciences), and has a thinner US-market integration catalog. For US-based teams without European signing needs, DocuSign, Adobe Acrobat Sign, SignNow, or Sign.Plus are usually better fits. Youtrust becomes the right choice for US-headquartered companies with EU subsidiaries that need QES native to the platform rather than via add-on.
Does Youtrust integrate with Salesforce, HubSpot, and Microsoft 365?
Yes, all three. Youtrust has native integrations with Salesforce, HubSpot, Pipedrive, Microsoft 365 (Outlook, OneDrive, SharePoint), Google Workspace, Zapier, and Make. The integration catalog is meaningfully smaller than DocuSign's 1,000+ or Adobe Sign's hundreds. There is no native Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, NetSuite, or ServiceNow integrations at the same depth. For French and broader European SMB buyers, the trade-off usually favors Youtrust because the local business-tool integrations (Sellsy, Axonaut, Pennylane, Tiime) are absent from the US-headquartered competitors. For mid-market or enterprise teams running global Workday or SAP stacks, the integration gap is the deciding constraint against Youtrust.
What are the best Youtrust alternatives?
For broader EU coverage with cleaner mobile experience and lower QES pricing, Sign.Plus is the closest peer alternative. For US-jurisdiction signing with FedRAMP or HIPAA requirements, DocuSign or Adobe Acrobat Sign are the credible choices. For sales-led document workflows combining proposal creation and signing, PandaDoc replaces three tools in one. For cost-driven SMBs with low signature volume, SignNow at flat-rate workspace pricing is dramatically cheaper. For very small businesses on tight budgets, CocoSign is the budget floor. The right alternative depends on which Youtrust limitation drove the search: US compliance gap, mobile experience gap, QES pricing gap, or document-creation gap.
